얼마 전 비전향 장기수들이 본국으로 송환되었다. ‘비전향 장기수 송환’은 영어로 ‘repatriation of unconverted long-term prisoners’라고 할 수 있겠다. 앞문장의 경우 ‘return’을 써서 “South Korea has agreed to let North Korean spies return home. ”처럼 간단히 표현할 수도 있다.
‘가족 상봉’이라는 표현은 ‘family reunion’이라고 하며, ‘동창생 모임’은 ‘class reunion’이라고 흔히 쓴다. 한편, 문제 뒷부분을 달리 표현하면 “~ North Korean spies to allow their families to reunite”라고 할 수도 있다. 답은 (d).
